School Year Prayers From A Mama’s Heart – December
We are almost halfway through the school year! Can you believe it? Time is flying by faster than ever! If you have missed this series, I think you will really enjoy the verses and specific focus for each month. It helps me to constantly remember that my children’s hearts are being formed day by day. The way we pray for them, influence them, and train them is such a vital part of their development. I have plenty of days that I mess up, feel overwhelmed and forfeit my “perfect mom” card, but there’s one thing we can all do that we can’t mess up and that is PRAY! With every ounce of energy left in our bodies at the end of a long day, we can pray.
In case you missed it, here are the previous posts that you might want to tuck away on Pinterest for next year:

Ready or not here we go! The Christmas season is upon us and the spirit of giving compels us to shop till we drop to make sure someone we love has a fabulous Christmas. In the midst of the hustle and bustle I am convicted this year to take time to fervently pray for my children’s hearts. I am praying specifically this month for giving hearts. I know the best way to cultivate a heart toward giving is to provide a powerful example of it. If I want my children to learn to give, I must be a giver. They need to see it, participate in it, and practice it.
As we pray for giving hearts, let’s lead by example. Give gifts, money, food, clothing, coats, shoeboxes, cookies…whatever you can give – DO IT!

Enjoyed the link to wonderful thoughts on gifts from the heart. Have a blessed Christmas.
Thanks, Deb!
Love the different prayers you’re praying for your children every month Micah. What a great lesson you’re teaching them as well this Christmas season as you lead by example. Also, what wisdom you’re showing for not only other moms, but women like myself, who have yet to have kids, but who can learn from moms like you on how to love and lead your children in a Godly manner. Thank you for that :)
Crystal, I don’t always get it right, but one thing my mom taught me was to never stop praying.
Thank you for sharing this with us. I would love for you to join us again this week at Sitting Among Friends at http://youresewtrendy.blogspot.com
My grandma gives so much and has so little and I have been learning such a great deal from her. God has also been stretching my heart strings for giving this year. He is amazing. We just gave to a great organization called The American Bible Society. They have a giving opportunity to double gifts, which is wonderful. $5 for Bibles and they go to orphans. Awesome opportunity to feed people with the Word of God. Here is their link if anyone is interested in looking into it more. http://americanbible.org/orphans
Thanks again for sharing.
Jaime, Thank you so much for your sweet invitation! I would love to join you again! What a beautiful opportunity your Grandma is involved with! I hope many join your efforts to provide God’s Word to others!
I recently have felt lead to pray more for our kids. Having been a newbie Christian when I met my hubby this is something that is pretty new to me. I have always prayed for our kids, but recently have felt lead to pray more intently and directly for them. I love that you are doing just that! Thanks for the encouragement. :)
Having been a newbie Christian when I met my hubby praying was something new. Since then I have learned about praying and have prayed for my kids for years. However, recently I have felt lead to pray more intently and directly for our kids. I love that you are encouraging other Moms to do just that! Thanks :)
