10 Ways to Stop Procrastinating Today

10 Ways to Stop Procrastinating Today

It’s so easy to procrastinate. It simply means waiting to do the things you know you should do. Putting off until tomorrow what could be done today.
I’m so good at procrastinating. There are some things that can wait until tomorrow and there are some that can’t. And I’m going to give you a few tips on how to figure out how to do all those things you want to start doing today!

There is no scientific data to share, just tried and true disciplines that have changed my life. I don’t always get these right and many days I have to start over again.

If you want to make a change and start getting things done, try these:

  1. Get up early. Set your alarm and get your booty out of bed.
  2. Make your bed before you leave your bedroom.
  3. Get dressed and ready for the day.
  4. Fix your hair and put some make up on. I know what some of you are thinking, but trust me, you will feel better and more motivated.
  5. Load or unload the dishwasher. (Empty the sink.)
  6. Start the laundry.
  7. Stock the pantry for the week.
  8. Read the Word & pray.
  9. Tidy up the house.
  10. Do all the things! Ok, maybe not all of them, but pick one thing to accomplish today.

So teach us to number our days that we may get a heart of wisdom.Psalm 90:12 (ESV)

I promise, if you are ready both physically and spiritually, something happens in your brain and you are ready to do more. If you lay around in your pajamas and wait to get ready until later in the day, you won’t feel like doing as much. Or maybe you are wired differently than me.

Do tell!

I would love to hear what helps you be most productive.

I am writing! And it’s a challenge, but one worth wrestling through.

What is one thing you want to accomplish this week?

Love & Blessings,
