Follow the Recipe: Salt and Light in a Dark World
Today, I have the privilege to be a guest on my friend Kaylie Hodges’ blog! Kaylie is outgoing and upbeat. Her transparency is refreshing and uplifting. I think you will enjoy hearing a story from my first year of marriage to my handsome hubby. We know we need to be salt and light to a dark world, but sometimes we try too hard. If you need a little encouragement after a long week, check it out. You can read my post HERE. Love & Blessings, Micah
Radio Interview with Missions Radio
I had the opportunity to share my heart on Missionsradio.org. I am not a radio girl, but I believe it was an opportunity to spread Jesus name farther than my hands can reach. God has been so faithful and I want to give Him all the praise. I hope you will be encouraged and blessed as you listen to a little piece of my heart. God-Centered Prayer: Week 1- God’s Presence
“The presence of God is hard to define, but His absence is easy to detect.” –Michael Catt Do you ever feel like God is far away? The sin that consumes your life looks normal and you are surrounded by other people engaging in the same stuff. You can go on for a while, pressing down conviction and the knowledge of right and wrong. After all, everyone is doing it. At some point you are faced with
Waiting for Flowers to Bloom
Amidst the palette of brown crispy branches there was one tree that had little green buds on every branch. I admired the tiny leaves that were beginning to take shape. It was a clear representation of new life after a cold, hard winter. I watched over the next few days and weeks as more and more buds began to appear. As I think back on the one tree that stood out from the rest, I wonder what made it different from the others. It wasn’t the oldest tree or the biggest. It wasn’t the most beautiful and didn’t have the
I Believe
If we could sit down and share some of the most meaningful moments of our lives, I would be excited to hear what has impacted your life the most. The moments in life that changed you, or began a transformation in your journey. When it is my turn to share I would take you back to a church in Denton, Texas where my dad was the pastor. I had heard Bible stories and church songs from the day I was born. By five years old I could quote several verses from the Bible and make up my own rendition of
