When You Feel Stuck

You know God has a plan, but in this season you feel stuck. It’s hard to know which way to go, where to turn, and how to move forward even a little bit when you are stuck. I’ve been there too many times to count. I know deeply what it feels like to want to move on desperately, but not know exactly how.

Somehow life seems to hold us captive in these seasons. We look for ways to break free, but the more we try, the more struggles we seem to face.

I’m learning it’s more about letting go than moving on. God is leading me to release my desires for something different and cling to what He has for me right now. Even here, in a season of feeling stuck, God is at work. We just can’t quite see it yet.

“Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.” Psalm 37:3-7

4 Things to do when you feel stuck:

  1. Trust God’s Way (Psalm 37:3)
  2. Rejoice God’s Way (Psalm 37:4)
  3. Choose God’s Way (Psalm 37:5)
  4. Rest God’s Way (Psalm 37:7)

If you are feeling stuck, hold onto these four things as you wait to see how God will work it out. Because He always works it out. Keep trusting Him.
